Ever wonder how Nancy Zieman and I get our embroidery designs to land exactly where we want them? We use a simple – I mean, really simple – software program that outlines the garment so we know exactly where to place the embroidery.

Perfect Placement Software includes 30 outlines or garment sections plus over 70 beautiful embroidery designs. Since I work in this program all the time, I’ve printed templates of all the outlines and I keep them stored in a folder.

I go to the folder first whenever I’m embarking on a wearable project. I flip through the templates and find the one that is closest in shape and size to my garment. Then I audition the garment section on the template.

If it doesn’t fit perfectly, I move to the computer and open the program. In the program, I select the outline then tweak its shape and size to mimic my garment. Once that’s done, the fun begins.

I select a design, drop it in the outline and play with proportion, size, rotation, etc. I can add as many designs as I want and actually ‘see’ the layout before I take a stitch.

Nancy Zieman uses the same technique and wrote a terrific tute on how she embellished a collar. Click here to see how she did it.

But before you head over to Nancy’s blog, tell me what design you like best. A, B or C.  We’ll pick a random comment and the lucky winner will receive a copy of Perfect Placement Software – Nancy and my secret to perfect placement!

Design A

Design B

Design C

Here’s your assignment this week:

Pick your favorite design from above, A, B or C. One lucky winner will win their very copy of Perfect Placement Software. Thank you and good luck!

The winner of last week’s assignment is:

Mary Mulari’s travel designs are fun and fast to stitch and just right for jazzing up some travel accessories. Of the six designs shown at the top of the page, tell us which one is your favorite and you could win a copy of Mary’s book and embroidery collection. We’ll pick a random winner on Wednesday.

So don’t forget to post your comment – let us know what your favorite design is and you could be a winner!

And the winner is…“While shampoo girl is cute, the kitty in the suitcase reminds me of our cat BooBoo who always knew something was up when we put suitcases on the bed and started packing! Of course he would jump in whenever you turned your back to get more clothes. I love Mary’s work and enjoy her on Sewing with Nancy as well as classes I have taken from her at SewExpo.” – Ruth P.

  • Vicki L

Thank you for the opportunity to win this wonderful software!

I like all three designs, but I think I like Design C the best. Although it really would depend on what project it was being used on!

    • Karen Kaping

I like Design A as it reminds me of piping and crystals.

      • Jacey

I like design B. it has a variety of textures and appears whimsical to me.

    • Beverly Gibson

I love all the designs, but I like Design C best because if has
flowers and design elements that face all the directions so it would be more versatile for uses. I could use it on napkins, placemats, quilts, clothing, and as borders. Thanks for all you
      work and ideas.

      • Madelon Claterbos

I hope website is correct, anyway I like Design C best
as the placement of the flowers and the way the colors lined up just caught my eye. Flowers of any kind are my passion!!! I can’t plant enough. Right now there are 6 vases in my house with all my different colored flowers and I take each grouping and imagine how I would embroider my jeans,or a blouse or anything with these colors. I just love watching the two of you on T.V. You both show your love for designs and your creativity shines through.

    • Vicki Heim

I think all three are wonderful in their own way. Each has characteristics that would fit different types of projects. I would probably use A & B for clothing and C is a wonderful border design for about anything. Love to see more of these.

    • Mary

I like B as it has interesting detail without being too heavy in design.

    • Cande Gordon

I love design B. One of my favorite designs is the Peacock and I love their beautiful colors! Design B reminds me of a Peacocks extravagant tail. They are known for their beautiful feathers and what better way to display our beautiful embroidery.

  • Allie L

I love design B. Perfect placement would be a great addition to my embroidery “toolkit”! I feel that placement is the hardest part to get right!

  • Peggy Schroeder

    Hi Eileen,
I would love to win the placement kit. I don’t hold out much hope though, I never win anything!!

I think my most stressful placement was (still) the embossed horse design I have told you about before—I measured, measured, placed, moved placement, and thought I finally had it right. Stitched it out, it came out great, then when I took it off the machine, it was tilted just enough to make it unwearable! Still haven’t figured out how it happened. But you are right, I will have to dig it out of its hiding place in the back of the closet and use it for practice runs. I was afraid someone would see it, so did not even put it in the ragbag!

  • Patsy T

I like B, for some reason makes me think of wheat and I was raised between 2 fields of wheat.

  • Peggy Schroeder

Forgot to tell you I think I like “B” design the best; they are all nice, and I can th ink of places for all of them.

  • Bonnie G.

My favorite design is Design A. I can see it used on a pillow, linens, shirts, skirts, and dresses. The Perfect Placement software would be a welcome addition to my sewing studio library.
Thank you for the opportunity to win it.

  • Jean Lowenberger

I think I like view A the best, it is open and am thinking what I might embroider it on would allow the fabric to show through more than the other two designs.

  • Terrie

I love all three designs! It is hard to choose just one. I would love to have all three. Guess I would have to pick A.

  • Kathy Elkins

    Design B.

  • Linda DeRyder

I am just getting started in embroidery and I love all the articles on your site!! There is always something new!
I love Design C, but it was hart to chose between the three!!!

  • Sandy Smith

I just love watching you and Nancy on Sewing with Nancy. You two make machine embroidery look like a breeze, and I’m amazed at the tricks Nancy demonstrates to make sewing easier! While I’ve embroidered many types of items, I have been reluctant to try it on apparel because of placement issues. I’ve looked into the Perfect Placement software and longed to buy it, but retirement forces me to prioritize my spending. Although all 3 designs are beautiful, I like design B best because of the variety of stitching and how it seems to make your eyes keep moving across the design.

  • Sofie

My eyes were instinctively drawn to B out of the three designs, so that is my choice. A is a very close second.

  • Alicia Stovern

I also like them all, but Design A is definitely my favorite. Its simple, but elegant.

  • Pamela Black

I really was hoping to win the time you were going to give away class time on Embroidery. I know I would have learn a lot.

I love all three designs. And i really don’t want to choose. As I can see each one perfectly placed on an apparel. So I would definitely enjoy using it on some of my “Plain Jane” apparel.

  • Sherry Peterson

I actually line all 3 designs, but if I have to pick only one, I guess it would be “C”

  • Jean

My favorite is C. I am intrigued by the software. I have not done much garment embroidery, yet! Thanks for the chance to win.

  • Linda Genzen

Love “B”. Thank you for the chance to win your software.

  • Paula Somers

Love “b” it offers some detail that will allow for additional embellishments with bling.

  • Ann Mitcham

I really like A becouse it would make a good boder for quilt,I just finished atable topper that had machine embriodery on it and for me that was had to get the placement lind up for the blockes and border but I stayed with and glad becouse it looks good.

  • Susan J

I like “A” because it delicate.

  • Pam

All are great. If I had to choose one, it would be A.

  • Laura Aldridge

Sure could have used this software when I recently made a bible cover. The design I embroidered was a little off from where I wanted it to be. The software would have helped. I like design A because it looks simple but elegant. Would be pretty on a blouse.

  • Katie Hartsell

Boy do I need this software! I love all the choices, but I think A is my favorite. Thanks for the work you do!

  • judy

    love C!!!

  • nancyBe!

I like c the best but agree that it would depend on the garment.

this looks like a great tool to add to the repertoire..

  • Mary Mohr

I love the medieval feel of Design C. Can visualize it on the edge of a beautiful vest of some type.

  • Mj chava

I like B. C is also very cool.

  • Paule-Marie

I like design B. It flows beautifully, looks elegant, and has just the right figure-ground relationship.

  • Shannon Bainbridge

I like design the best. I think it would beautiful on the hem of a pillowcase dress!

I’d love to have this software. I’m still learning and rather OCD about placement.

    • Shannon Bainbridge

But, apparently, I’m not as OCD about typos this evening. I meant to say that I like design B the best. Geez! Sorry, been dealing with a willful “terrible two” yr old today. lol

  • Nancy

I like Design A the best because it isn’t as heavy as the other two. Very pretty.

  • Cynthia Slomovitz

    I like B.

  • Mary

Design A looks light and airy and would make a terrific table runner.

  • Donna Schell

    I really love Design B.

  • Molly O

I love C. I have a jacket with some unfortunate moth holes in the back shoulder area. I have been looking for a design to sew out to cover these holes. The Perfect Placement tool will help me with getting the holes covered just right. Thanks for a great blog and all the tools you have designed.
    Molly O

  • Jacque

I like A – it has a light and airy feel about it!

  • Marilyn Turkington

I love design B can think of so many places I could use it —thanx

  • Ellen Jordan

I like design “A” best. It is not as heavy and has more open space but all three are wonderful.

  • Glenda

I like them all, but I am drawn towards Design A the most. I believe I would use it more often than the others.

  • BevM

I think C is my favourite but it would depend on what I’m embroidering on.

  • Lori

I like A for the simplity!!! I hope I win this I really could use it!!

  • Bonnie

Having a hard time deciding but I’d have to say B.

  • Johanne Moore

I love “a” the most because of the great symmetry between dense and light stitching.

  • Sue Korman

I’d really love to win the Perfect Placement software. It would be so helpful to me in the small business I started to supplement my retirement income.

As for which design I like best, I would have to say A. I like the simple lines and uncluttered feel of that particular design.

  • Brenda Howard

Although A is simple and would go with lots of things I am an over the top type and have to choose C. C is fantastic.

  • Kathleen Kaminski

I really like C The lines look so clean and exciting

  • Jennifer P

I’m loving all of them but I think C is my favorite. Thanks

  • Lynda Ward

I prefer B. I like the way the blue flowers provide a focal point.

  • Liz

I really love Design A the most. All three are lovely, but Design A almost has a scallop design to it, which I just love. And it is light and airy. So nice! 🙂

  • Sue R

I love design B as my favorite but they are all pretty. I would definitely use it on one of my favorite bag patterns.
    Thanks you 🙂

  • Myra Williams

    Design a. Less complex.

  • Joaniez

I love all three designs but, if I must choose one it would have to be design A. I love your work and I enjoy watching Sewing with Nancy and I always wondered how you two made it look so easy!!

  • Cindy Broome

I like B because it reminds me of needlework that both my grandmother and mother did by hand. I’d love to do it by machine!

  • Belle Plummer

As Oscar Wilde said, “I can stand a great deal of gilt” and I agree. I think that design C would lend itself to a lot of extra embellishment, such as crystals. All are very inspirational in that regard, though!

  • Michelle H

They are all pretty but I think C is my favorite. I would love to win this software as I think it would make embroidery so much easier

  • Carlyn Prince

I love the delicacy of pattern A and the detail of pattern C. So since I have to choose, my choice is pattern C.

  • [email protected]

I like design A the best,it’s more open and airy. Hard choice because I like all the designs.

  • Juanita Whitfield

Hi, I’ve only been doing embroidery for a little over a year. So every thing I see looks beautiful. I love all three, but if I have to choose it would be A. It looks a little more open and airy.

  • Pam M

I like C the best because it is filled out all round. I can just see it joined in a square border arrangement to make a frame on a cushion. They are all very nice though and each would be the ideal embroidery for a particular item.

  • Carol

I like design A, it looks more delicate than the other two designs.

  • Madeline Lester

My favorite is design c. Would be beautiful along the bottom if a skirt or down the front of a blouse.

My most difficult garment I tried to embroidery was a button down shirt. I had a design that went across
The front across the placket. My solution came down to time and patients ( which wore very thin) I used a full templet and lots of marking. I used a lot of measuring and marking. Even though was VERY challenging it came out pretty good, but I sure wish I would of had this software it would have gone SOOOOO much smother and a lot less time. I will use this software on sooo many projects
Thank you, once again, Eileen and Nancy for making my life so much easier and with less stress involved!
    Madeline L.

  • Shirley

I like Design B because of its graceful and quiet flow upward, complimented by the leaves.

  • Judy

Design A- fewer points of interest; more open space to allow a “resting place” for the eye to see more aspects of the design; clean open design; less problematic for the machine to stitch.

  • Ellen

‘Love all things Jacobean. Design “B” takes me there.

  • Rosalyn Schultze

I like design “C” best because it has a more free-flowing aspect to it than the first two designs. It is somewhat art nouveau in feeling which is a favorite design style of mine.

  • Darla

I love them all, but Design A is my favorite. I like it’s delicate design.

  • Marlene Church

I like them all but I think A is my favorite. The software sounds really cool and I would love to win it.:-)

  • Ann

All three designs are wonderful. I like design A best, just because it has a lighter feel.

  • Karen

I like A the best, very elegant

  • Wanda Leffingwell

I like them al lbut I like C the best!

  • Wanda Leffingwell

    I like C

  • Linda Epting

    I like B the best

  • Sheryl Jones

They’re all beautiful, but I’d have to say my favorite is Design C.

  • Patty C.

I like design A. It is not as heavy.

Placement is a bear for me. I recently sent my 2 year old grandson a train that was running “downhill”. Even he noticed it was not straight. Good thing it was just on a jammie shirt.

  • Cathy

I like A as it is a little more open and “airy”. Thank you for your wonderful and informative blog just for embroiderers.

  • Diana Darie

I like the B design more.look like the spring coming soon.

  • Terri

I really like Design A. It reminds me of the design I am planning to use on the collar and sleeve cuff of my wedding dress.

  • FashionedByRose

Of the three, I like A best but my preference would be the vines of A with the flower of C. The vines of B and C are too busy for me and I like the flower of C best.

  • Selena

I like design C, it reminds me of Spring with flowers getting ready to bloom!

  • Sharon

I like Design A because it is less busy and more open and airy than the two other designs.

  • Pascale

I really like A; it would look great as a border on a pillowcase.

  • Donna G.

My favorite is B, although all of them are gorgeous. What a great software program!

  • Mary Haggenmaker

I like A best. I can think of more things to put it on and it has a light and airy look. I wish I could watch “Sewing with Nancy”. Our PBS station no longer carries it. I do look forward to meeting you in April when you come to Maryland.

    • eileenroche

Hi Mary – I’m looking forward to our event in Maryland on April 12-13. Gosh it’s right around the corner now! By the way, you can watch Sewing with Nancy online – just go to to watch. Enjoy!

I like Design C the best. It seems adaptable to many placements.

  • Lorel Maple

I’m partial to the thistle motif featured in C.

  • Sheila

    C is my favorit

  • susan shaw

They’re all beautiful, but I like design B the best.

  • Laura Sexton

I love B with the lighter sections connecting the larger portions of the design.

  • Barbara Jones

They’re all lovely, but B is my favorite. It’s inspiring enough to get me to ignore my work and go to the sewing room!

  • Patti H

I love all three but would say A would be my favorite.

  • Sharlene

I like B the best; the blue just seems to stand out more.

  • Nancy B

I like design A. Would love to win the software!

  • Patty Sack

    I like A because it’s a little more open.

  • Susan Smith

Love the Design A. The simplicity of it is refreshing!!
This software would be awesome, but I don’t expect to win as I never do!! Have a great day! Oh, its my birthday so it would make a great present!!! Hint Hint!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Laura G

It was hard to choose a favorite. I love the delicate look of A but I liked the swirly vines, buds and flowers in design C the best. I would like to have an elegant bed sheet with either of the designs along the top.

Thanks for the giveaway contest! I would like to try the Perfect Placement tools when adding embellishments to plain jackets and children’s clothes. I added a pretty design to the top back of a plain brown jacket and could have used the help when I tried to place it!

  • Jean Maumenee

I like design A the best. All the designs are beautiful, but I prefer A.

  • Judy

Wow, I like all 3 of them, but after looking more closely, I think I like #1 the best.

  • Anne Marie Reilly

I like them all but I really love design3.

  • Karen Frank

I like Design B the best – it has fantasy-like detail. All your designs are beautiful, but I like this one the best!!

  • judy williamson

They are all great, but I think I can see myself using “A” more than the others. I like simplier designs.

  • Martine

That’s a hard question, I like them all. But if I had to choose just one for a garment for myself it would be A.

  • Linda

They are all pretty. But, my favorite is C.

  • Agnes B. Bullock

    I love design C!

  • Fonda Baus

I love them all. But I think my favorite is A..I love all of your ideas and designs. Thanks for all of your hard work. It makes our love of sewing and crafting easier.

  • Fran

I love the flowing design of C. I am fairly new to machine embroidery and I am enjoying your Blog! Thanks for the opportunity to win such an amazing tool, I can see how much easier it would make so many projects!

  • Veronica Harper

I really like a because it has a lighter feel then the other ones.I would really love to win this softwear, because I know it would help me a great deal when I embroider on clothing, which I like to do, but it is difficult to put the design in the exact place.

  • Patty Schrock

I like c best although all of them would be great in their own project. thanks for the chance to win this great tool.

  • Judy M.

I love design A because it is intricate enough to show off many different aspects of the embroidery yet it is airy to allow you to appreciate each of the diffent sections of the embroidery as well. I also think the little diamond shapes within the embroidery are a nice contrast to the easy curling design of the floral aspects. It would show up nicely on any garment.

  • CJG333

Perfect placement software – how do you do it? You seem to know what I would wish for. I’ve been machine embroidering for years but really struggle with PERFECT placement. I like all the designs but prefer design B. The symmetry and accents would be beautiful on a tablecloth. With perfect placement I can get those corners right.

  • Cindy Amend

I love all three designs, but chose design B as my favorite.

  • Tricia Kemp

All three are lovely designs, but I like B the best. It is bold and yet uncluttered. It would lend itself to many projects.

  • NancyS

I like design “B” the best. It looks the richest to me. I would love to try that out in a tone-on-tone on bed linens. Luxurious!

  • Wendy Espie

While I really like all three, there is something about “A” which caught my attention — I think it is the lightness of the design.

I am fairly new to embroidery and trying to learn all I can about the many facets involved but have avoided garments because of placement problems. I appreciate the opportunity to win “Perfect Placement”.

  • Vicki B.

I like design A because it’s more simple and less busy.

  • Rosalyn

All of the designs are eye catching. I prefer “A” for it’s simplicity. I can see being able to use this design on many different items.
Placement is such a huge part of getting the embroidery right, that I would love the software. The prep is more work than the actual embroidery stitching time.

  • Robyn Morris

Because of the open and airy feeling I choose design A. I would love to embroider it on my jeans!!! Thank you for the opportunity to win this much needed “tool chest” program.

  • Cindy Swol

    Good Morning!
I am in love with C. I can see it on a gown I want to make for the Commodore’s Ball at our Yatch Club. Everyone looks forward each year as to what gown I will make.
I will be awaiting your wonderful Perfect Placement Software.

  • Claudia Wade

I like Design C best of all, but all 3 are beautiful.

  • Donna F

I like C. I can see it on a jacket or use it on a pillow.

  • annette Rady

    Hi Everyone
My favorite is design C. It looks to me as if it is the most versatile of the three. They are all very beautiful. Thanks for the contest opportunity.

  • Jean B

I pick A. I try to find designs that I can glitz. this is perfect for my crystals to be put in place. Just enough room add my own touch.

  • Pat Baker

I love Design B! (but the other two are pretty also!) Thanks for the chance to win! BTW, just received my Hobo purse templates – so inspired by your Blog sample!

  • Rosalee

I like “B” the best but all beautiful! Thanks!

  • Patty Fiske

    I love the swirly A.

  • Barb

Boy you don’t make it easy. I like them all. I will pick C because I like the little buds.

  • Sheila Edmondson

My favorite is design “B ” although I love them all. B to me has the most possibilities for use—border if turned a little, Corner on sheets ,etc. I think it is the prettiest ,too. I can see all kinds of images in it in my mind,a caterpillar??? a flower–the eye sees endless shapes!!! Thanks for all you do -you are such an inspiration.

  • Kandy

I love Design A. It reminds me of needed some bling with crystals to go along with it. But all a wonderful. Interesting reading how you make each design fit exactly where you want.

  • Kathy Anderson

    I like Design A.
Is this program like Place & Stitch Embroidery which came out in 2007? I know that the embroidery designs are different, but it seems the object of the programs are the same. I’ve used P&SE for a Christmas blouse for my mother.

    • eileenroche

Hi Kathy, Perfect Placement Software uses the same concept as Place & Stitch Embroidery but since Perfect Placement is a software program, you have the ability to manipulate the designs and outlines. You can size (which the software recalculates the stitches), mirror, rotate, delete color segments and much more.

Place & Stitch Embroidery was a collection of embroidery designs that included outlines but you were not able to edit the designs. Just merge at the machine. Hope you understand!

      • Kathy Anderson

Thank you for the reply. I will have to put this program on my wishlist.

  • Linda

My favorite is Design A. I like the simplicity and open feeling of the design, I think it stands out better from the fabric that way. I enjoyed Nancy’s tute on placement and I think the design placement software would be helpful to anyone but since I am pretty much a newbie at machine embroidery I really think it is something that would benefit my new craft!

  • Jen

I like B, although they are all great looking. Anything that makes ourhobby easier and more enjoyable as well as beautiful is greatly appreciated!

  • Martha

I too like all three and can see uses for each. However, design A is my favorite. Thanks for all you share with us.

  • Kris Jacobson

I like all three but I think B is my favorite

  • Connie W

Making any decision is a difficult task for me, but I pick “B”. It seems to catch my eye for some reason. Of course they are all very lovely and that color combination is a favorite!

  • Vicky Isliefson

I love them all, but if I had to choose, it would be C. The pineapple flowers and that extra blue under leaf caught my eye.

That was an easy choice for me….C

  • Susie W

All 3 are great, but I favor A

    “BEE’s the one for me.

  • Sandra Sanders

  • Donna Krahmer

Choosing one of the three is really difficult, they are all great, but if I had to choose, I guess it would be ‘A’. I like the openess and way it flows.

Thanks for the opportunity to choose and for all you do for the home embroiderer.

  • Karen

I like A best, they are all great. The software sounds amazing.

  • Cy

I like design “A” the best. I can see areas which I could manipulate to make it truely my own.

  • Tara

I like A best. I like the way the diamonds add a little bit of visual contrast to the flowing stems, leaves, and petals in the rest of the design.

  • Judy G

I like “A”. Being petite, I am drawn to less “heavy” patterns. Design “A” seems more light and airy than the other two designs.

  • wendy Buchanan

Tough decisions but I like A the best. Thanks for the chance to win this.

  • Irene Clark

I love B. I think it makes a bold statement. I am 80 yrs young and am still learning. I love machine embroidery!!!

  • Linda Burwick

All three are nice, but A is my favorite.

What beautiful designs to choose from. For me, I have chosen B. It is light and delicate and fits my style perfectly.

  • Sharon Hazlewood

I like design A best. I can see that being used in a number of ways with color combinations. It would look good on a sleeve, or around the base of a jacket or shirt jacket as a continuous design.

  • Bobbi

I love the combination of blues and greens. Design B is my favorite.

  • Shelly C

I like design C the best, it reminds me of all the sprouts of plants that are just starting to push out of the ground. This is my first spring in Boise, Idaho and I am so excited to see these green sprouts emerging so early, I have hope that spring is here and I am so ready!!!

  • Cathy Plomos

I like C it is very pretty!

  • Pam J.

I love all of the designs, but I think B would be my favorite! So very pretty!

  • Leanda Mayer

They are all nice but design A really stands out for me. I just love the clear lines. If I won this I would be ecstatic!

  • Wendy

I would pick A. It is so elegant

  • Sue J of Easton

Design A is my favorite. It’s not too heavy and perfect to add to a garment.

  • Pam P

My favorite is A – I like the airiness of it. But they are all lovely!

  • debbie

Very hard choice, but I think I like A the best. Thanks for the opportunity to win the placement software. Would be a great help for my embroidery projects.

  • Juanita Whitfield

    All are great.

  • Debbie S

I love B. I can see it in a quilt border, or as a border on the bottom of a pair of capris

  • Juanita

This is difficult. Standing alone, I like A best. It has a simple flow to it that allows each design element to stand out and be noticed but yet all the element blend to form a very pretty design. The more elements that are introduced to each design, as in B and C, the less the individual elements stand out and the design appears as one element rather than a perfect blend of elements. When I think of each design on a garment, I get a visual of C down the front of a blouse or around the bottom as a border. With A and B, I see more of accept elements on a sleeve, pants leg, or purse.

They are all very pretty and any embroiderer would love all three.

Thank you for your give-aways and for introducing and explaining different products for your readers.

  • Enis

Oh, they are all so beautiful, but if I had to choose just one, I think it would be “B”. I love the scrolling and tiny leaves. Just so delicate.

  • Donna Jones

I like “C” the best because it doesn’t appear to be a one-way design. If I ever won it I would be in shock for at least a week.

  • Terri Beck

I would love love love to win this please. A is my favorite because I think sometimes less is more.

  • Brenda McNeil

You know, I am feeling lucky! I became a “Nana” for the first time yesterday! A is my favorite because it is less “cluttered” and more open spaces. You can appreciate the design more. It would be nice to win this so I can make Maya SO many beautiful things!

  • Barbara Riegsecker

What a wonderful softwear product to help make us look like we know what we are doing. I like design B the most. It is more open.

  • Lorita

I like all 3 of the designs! Design “A” would be the one I would use as the “go to design”. It would look nice as a border on linens as well as collar or neckline treatment.

  • doree shandera

i choose design A. I like the lightness and flow of the design.

  • doree sandera

i choose design A. I like the lightness and flow of the design.

  • Audrey

All designs are nice, but my favorite is #A.

  • Julie

I love all three designs, but B is my favorite. I like the mix of flowers, leaves, and vines.

  • Berenice

i like C because of the shape of the flowers.

  • Pat Graham

My favorite is B. It makes me happy. I like all of them though. Hope I win. Happy sewing everyone.

  • Susan Olexa

My vote goes to design C, very nice design.

  • Kim Fisher

I like Design A the best as it is “less busy”.

  • Barb Vine

I like A because it is simple and airy- all are beautiful – but again- “A” speaks to me.

    🙂 Barb

  • Elina Rodriguez

I like B because it is airy and so…beautiful. I have done your designs before and are easy to work with and looks great.

  • LeAnne L

That’s a tough one, but I’d have to choose A as my favorite.

  • LaVonne Springer

I really like them all, but I think that A would be the easiest to use in a continued row for match up. I have the hardest time of all with the positioning. It always takes me the longest. I love embroidering I just wish I could have the confidence and ability that you have. I could see why this computer system would be the

  • Jebbie Austin

I’m always drawn to the Jacobean shapes and especially the colors. These are very pretty in the blue and green but my favorite is B.

  • Linda Dawson

I love design B. I would use it on both garments and handbags.

  • Sheila Hawkins

I think they are all beautiful but I like A the best. It looks a little simplier and I am very new at machine embriodery. A placement guide would be a very welcome addition to my sewing room.

  • Iole Blaine-McGill

They are all beautiful, however A is preferable. The elements are more visible and more useful to me. I certainly thank you for the opportunity you are offering. B and C are also wonderful and can be used in their own manner.

  • Evelyn Gonzalez

I love Design “B.” The complexity of the swirled vine, lovely flowers and leaves, as well as my two favorite colors in the world, green and blue, already have my mind racing to imagine what garments or home design patterns I’ll use this lovely design on.

Thank you so much for your wonderful blog! I never knew anything about embroidery and my brand new embroidery sewing machine sat on the table for more than (unbelievably) 2 years – until I discovered this blog.

  • L Freeman

All the designs are great, but I like B the best.

  • Pam Littlefield

    I love design A…
    Elegant without being over crowded.

  • Eileen

I like design C. Its very reminiscent of William Morris’s work.

  • gayle ward

I like them all, but the A (first) one is so light and airy that crystals could be added for extra bling!

  • Debbie Weiss

They are all beautiful, but I especially love Design A. I’m re-doing my bedroom and these are my new colors and the design would look perfect on my duvet cover. Thank you for a chance to win.

  • Heather

I love design A it has a light airy spring feel to it. I’m sure the others on the right project would look wonderful though.

  • LenaW

Hi I like the B designs the most

  • Mouse

Hi, I love them all, but I like design A the best. it is light and airy.

  • Ilene

I really like design C the best – I think it is the happiest design and seems to be a very cohesive pattern. The design reminds me of the profusion of Spring flowers ready to explode in gardens! Gosh, I’m ready for Spring and it can’t come soon enough here in CT!

  • Dionne E Pray

I like B the best although all are pretty. B reminds me of fanning myself on a hot day. I live in Texas, always hot here! Think fans on a collar…. love it!

  • Linda Crane

I like B design the best, although they are all beautiful! I tend to prefer flowery designs.

  • Molaacrobby

There are certainly numerous details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I supply the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly you’ll find questions like the one you bring up exactly where essentially the most vital factor are going to be working in honest fine faith. I don?t know if preferred practices have emerged around items like that, but I’m positive that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls really feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.

  • Cande Gordon

I love all 3 but my favorite is A. I have a Silhouette and could add some crystals using my Artistic software to the design since it is more open.

    Thank you for the opportunity.

  • Bea Pinson

A would be the one I’d choose first. All 3 offer great machine embroidery products. The placement tutorial is great!

  • Monica

Give me an A. This would be a perfect border, done in metalics on a black lounge length tunic. Can I copy it>

  • Diana Ingle

Love them all, but B jumped off the page at me. Of course, just when I thought the decision was made, A suddenly pulled me in that direction. It was a really tough choice, but B, having more of a focal point, finally won out.

  • Delores

B because it balances heavy and light

  • Joy

IB is my favorite. Actually they are all very nice

  • Melissa Mouser

My favorite design is C! I love the fullness of the design and the way it comes together.

  • Cyndi Scrivner

Well, I really love them all for different reasons, but I have to choose Design B because my son, who works at a Plant Nursery, just brought home a plant last week that has similar long skinny leaves on it, that close up when touched, so it reminded me of it. Very delicate design, yet the large blue flowers show strength to me, I love it!

  • Eliset

Hi Eileen, these are just beautiful, but I think I like the swirls of number1. I’m a newbie to embroidery and could sure use help with placement. Thank you and love all the tips you and Nancy share with us

  • Eliset

Hi Eileen, these are just beautiful, but I think I like the swirls of design A. I’m a newbie to embroidery and could sure use help with placement. Thank you and love all the tips you and Nancy share with us

  • Fammie Peter

Design A is my choice. Placement is my biggest challenge when embroidering garments so sure could use some help

  • Doris Logan

I like design C the best. I tend to like more solid patterns as they really draw your eye to them.

  • Patty Drake

I like Design C the best. For some reason my eye is more drawn to that one. Thank you for the chance to enter to win the Perfect Placement Software!!

    • Fammie Peter

I like design A the best although C is a close second.

  • Stefani Pollock

I would hands down select option C. It is a more current to the times design than the other two options and more versatile in my opinion.

  • Cindy Leazer

All three designs are beautiful, but I believe I will have to vote for design C. It just seems to have that extra little pizzas that makes it just so special to put along the edge of a placemat, table scarf etc….

  • Claret

I like Design B the best. There are a minimum of kinds of stitches and it does not have a lot of satin stitches. Satin stitches are pretty but depending on what type of fabric you are using, it is not conducive to all types of fabrics. Would really love the program.

  • Lou Bush

I think I like C the best, but all three are really pretty and on any given day my “mood” determines what tickles my fancy!

  • Carolyn Dillinger

All of the designs are so pretty but if I have to chose one, I would chose Design B.

  • Judy

I love design A. I know I’m late entering but hope I still have chance to win. I really need this placement software as I usually miss my center. Thanks for the opportunity to win .

  • Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates. I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.

  • shipping prices

Aw, this was a definitely nice post. In concept I would like to put in writing like this in addition – taking time and actual effort to make a really beneficial article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and by no indicates appear to get some thing completed.

  • Julie Daugherty

I like Design A as it is a little lighter in design.

  • tilton

It was very interesting to read, thank you.
