Even though you can stitch 10-color designs without blinking an eye or changing a spool, there are still occasions when you want to stitch an entire design one color. Wonder how you do that? Very simply! Let’s walk through it.
Retrieve your design. Touch Sewing.
The three-color design appears.
To assign the desired needle to the first color, touch the magic wand/spool icon.
All ten needles appear on the right side of the screen.
Select the needle with the color thread you want to stitch the design in. I want to stitch this antique serving spoon design from Embroidery Library in black, needle 4, so I’ll touch 4.
Color 1 will now stitch on needle 4.
Now, I could advance to the second color (by touching the plus/minus icon) and assign needle 4 to color 2, then go to the third color, etc. But it’s much faster to assign needle 4 to all of the colors in one quick swoop. Touch the spool icon to assign the needle of the first color to the remaining colors.
Notice all three colors are now assigned to needle 4 and the spool icon at the bottom of the screen is highlighted. So fast, so sweet!

11 years agoI am loving to see how these multi-needle machines work. Thanks for the wonderful tutorials. For those of us who do not have one, it’s great advance knowledge to have before we shop for one.
