I love your bags, the designs are great and the fabrics you use are unique.

A couple years ago our Friday night craft class took on the project of sewing pillowcases and donating them to childrens’ hospitals. It was lots of fun putting them together, using all kinds of fun fabrics for kids of all ages. Being able to give to others is always a great feeling!

A good friend of mine has an autistic son (age 21). He colored a mandala and his mom asked if I would machine embroider it for him (he calls this his family crest). I sent in the picture to have it digitized and then referenced your Jan/Feb 2012 issue to reference a mouse pad. Hope he enjoys it! And by the way — LOVE the READ bags.

I love your Designer hand bags and all of the fun fabrics that you used to create them!

    Hi Eileen,
I belong to two quilt groups here that do wonderful things for people in need. One makes quilts that in the beginning went to the District Attorney’s Office for victims of elder abuse. It has evolved to include other abuse victims, rest homes, and the battered women’s shelter. The other group makes quilts for “wounded warriors”, and the quilts are made and sent to Irac and Afghanistan. They are made to fit on a guerney,(45 x 81) and are delivered to Travis Air Force Base for shipment overseas. I have designed and embroidered labels to go on these quilts, and it has been rewarding to know that they have been going to someone who needs them. Our group has even earned “Congressional Recognition” certificates from our local Congressman for this worth-while project. This same group makes baby quilts for the local hospital, and each baby goes home with one.
It has been a privilege to belong to such caring groups of people.
