In upcoming posts, we’ll address threading, hooping, editing and more but for now, let’s get that baby in a safe location! There are several efficient stands available for the multi-needle machines. Most of them have a feature that secures the legs of the machine. It could be a well that is made specifically for your machine like Koala’s Embroidery Center Plus or a locking mechanism that the feet slide into on Brother’s latest stand. If your multi-needle machine did not come with a table or stand, then take this step to keep your machine resting in a secure spot. Place the machine on the surface. 
Trace around the feet. Place a round rubber cup furniture leg protector on the traced circle. 
These cups have a 2 ½” diameter, are very inexpensive and available at your local home supply store. 
With the cup centered over the traced circle, drill through the cup into the surface of the table. 
Next insert a screw to secure the cup to the table. Repeat for all four cups.
Place the machine on the table, landing each leg into a cup. The weight of the machine sinks the leg into the rubber cup. In addition, the cup is made of an anti-skid material and will not allow your machine to dance or slide off of the surface. Doing this will let you press go and leave the room without worry.
My machine sits on a narrow (it just fits!) table and these cups set my mind at ease. I can stitch with confidence. In all honesty, I have never had a multi-needle machine dance or slide off the table but I didn’t want to take the chance. Better safe than sorry.

10 years agoMy husband made a table from a kitchen cabinet. He took out the top drawer and cut out the u shaped opening for under the machine. He also drilled out holes for the legs to sit in. Very sturdy table.

10 years agoIt does vibrate anything that is close to the edge of the table onto the floor, so it stands to reason it might move as well. I put foam squares under each leg of my machine. If you have made the investment you should protect it.

10 years agoI bought a base cabinet for a garage then bought a kitchen counter top, larger than needed. I gives me room to hoop, store my hat hoop and line up the threads that I will be needing. It only shifted about a quarter inch. The feet on the machine stay put. Then I moved and the cabinet broke. Not I need to replace it.

10 years agoI just purchased the Endurance II. Being a much larger machine then my Ellisimo, I noticed how much louder this machine is. I live in a townhouse and I don’t want my neighbors complaining that they hear noise. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to muffle some of the noise? I have the metal six needle machine stand. Thanks for advise.

9 years agoCan I ask what the depth of your narrow table is? I also have a very narrow table but it is solid steel & just ordered a 10 needle machine. I was trying to think of something I could do if the table is to narrow for the machine, such as screw a piece of plywood into the top. I have a very small area along a wall in the laundry room. The wall is 4″ but there is a closet along the connecting wall so if I have a table that is to wide I loose access to the closet door on one side
This might be the answer to my problem.

4 years agoI have my 6 needle on a heavy duty desk with a anti fatigue mat underneath it. It is still so loud I can’t watch TV or listen to music. I don’t know what else to do.
