Wisconsin Quilt Expo

Eileen's Machine Embroidery Blog

What I love about Wisconsin are the people, the countryside, the cheese and the seasons (well almost all of the seasons). Every time I go to Wisconsin (at least twice a year), I have a great time. Last year, I went to Quilt Expo in Madison and even had fun in the parking lot!  If you guessed the location of the rubber ducky car as Madison, Wisconsin – you were right! Once I spotted the rubber ducky car in the vendor parking lot, I started to look around a bit closer. And low behold, I found the most interesting license plates. Clearly, the Quilt Expo vendors make quilting a part of their personal life.

The basic version.

Needs a little touch-up paint.

Could be an embroiderer or a quilter.

I would like to live there!

I’m a quilt chick, too.

Yes, I imagine I will be.

One more thing I like about Wisconsinites is their passion for their football team, the Green Bay Packers. Can’t help but love that Aaron Rogers!

This week’s homework assignment

Those license plates sure are creative and fun!  What message would you put on your own custom plate?  Post your comment for a chance to win a $25 shopping spree to the Designs in Machine Embroidery website.

The winner of last week’s assignment answered the following question

Want to win a PAL2? Take a guess at where I took this photo and you’ll be entered to win a PAL2!

The winner is… Deborah Snyder

“My guess is the Wisconsin Public Television Quilt Expo.”

I have a license plate I’d love to show you instead of tell you. My own license plate that I have had about 12 or 13 yrs now. I even drove up to Nancy’s Notions with it and after I was inside, with a friend from England, he got the biggest laugh out of others searching to find the owner of the license plate.
I love to sew, digitize, embroider, quilt, knit, machine knit, and I’m sure I am leaving something out (not crochet, don’t know how)…

How can I send the picture to you instead of tell you?

    Judi
