Holiday Gift Ideas

Last week we discussed creating a Holiday Stitching Gameplan, which helps us plan out and get our projects finished in time for gift giving.  The first part of the gameplan is to select the projects.  This week we will focus on giving you more Holiday Gift Ideas and projects for your gameplan.  And to help us is Eileen Roche and Patricia Gates, owner of Purely Gates.

Patricia is going to share a trunk show of gift ideas in four sections.  Many of her ideas are patterns she has created, and the shining designs are her mylar embroidery designs.

The first section will be Kitchen Items.  In this section are projects, such as Wine bags, Casserole Carrier, Placemats, Tray mats, Apron, Napkins, Napkin rings, Seasonal kitchen towels, and Table toppers.

Eileen shares how she stitches an outline quilting design from www.purelygates.com Quilting Designs 3 to make a quick gift set of potholders and coasters, showcasing ColorPlay Thread Kits with variegated and coordinating colors.  Listen in to this quick video.

ColorPlay Thread Kits feature 12 collections to choose from.  Each collection features a Medley Variegated polyester thread + 4 coordinating Exquisite polyester threads.  These are great for any embroidery designs, including the mylar embroidery designs from www.purelygates.com.

The second section of gift ideas is Personal Gifts.  Bags, tote bags, barrel bags, Pop up round baskets, Zippered Pouch, Book or Bible covers, Shirts with sayings, Jackets, and pillows are great ideas for any season.

Next section is Holiday Décor.  Gift ideas include, ornaments or gift tags, table runners, wall hangings, Christmas stockings, and Christmas tree skirts.

The last section of gifts is Quick Gifts.  Some ideas are burb cloths, towels, small quilts with sayings like QUILT in decorative mylar letters, and pouches made with two embroidery designs using PureShape

So, we have looked at several categories of gift ideas for the upcoming gift giving season.  Some of the ideas can be used throughout the year also.  Don’t forget to create a gameplan for each of the gift items you add.  For more inspiration and project ideas, watch Eileen Roche and Patricia Gates, owner of Purely Gates, on Facebook Live from November 11, 2021.  Enjoy!
